Traveling to Tunisia by plane
Flying is the most widely used and simplest way to reach Tunisia. Numerous flights depart daily from major French cities: Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Bordeaux, Nice, Nantes, Toulouse… The main airport served is Tunis-Carthage, but you can also choose to arrive at another airport depending on your itinerary in Tunisia. Airports such as Djerba-Zarzis, Enfidha-Hammamet, Gafsa-Ksar, and Sfax-Thyna also welcome international flights.
The average flight time between Paris and Tunis is around 2 hours 15 minutes. Prices range from €50 to €500 depending on the airline, cabin class, and season.
Traveling to Tunisia by boat
Boat travel is one option for reaching Tunisia if you have time to spare. The Mediterranean Sea crossing is made by ferry. Several companies offer this service: Corsica Linea and CTN Ferries (departing from Marseille), Grandi Navi Veloci, and Grimaldi Lines.
The main arrival port is Tunis, but you can also choose to disembark at the port of Zarzis, for example. From France, departures are primarily from Marseille.
Departures are also available from Italian ports such as Genoa, Salerno, Palermo, and Civitavecchia.
The crossing between Marseille and Tunis operates once a week, taking between 21 and 31 hours.
Traveling to Tunisia by car
It is not, strictly speaking, possible to reach Tunisia by car, but you can drive to one of the ports that serves Tunisia and board a ferry with your vehicle.
