Where to Exchange Euros and Dinars?

In Tunisie, you'll find currency exchange offices at banks, where exchange is often done without commission.

Some post offices and hotels also offer this service, always commission-free.

Remember to keep and carry throughout your stay the signed exchange receipts issued by currency exchange offices as well as your withdrawal receipts—you'll be asked for them when exchanging your dinars back to euros at the end of your stay in Tunisie.

Payment Methods in Tunisie

When traveling in Tunisie, it's best to always carry cash with you. Card payments are rarely accepted. Aside from high-end hotels, a few restaurants, and luxury or heavily touristic shops, it's uncommon to find businesses that accept credit cards.

Your best option is to withdraw money from ATMs. Favor ATMs located in banks. Foreign withdrawals can be very costly due to commissions, so check with your bank beforehand and avoid making small withdrawals every day.
