How to choose your circuit in Tunisia?
Tunisia lends itself to various formats depending on available time and desired regions. A short week-long trip allows you to combine Tunis, Carthage, Sidi Bou Saïd and the Kairouan region or a beach stay in Djerba. To include the Sahara, Berber ksour and the Tozeur oases, plan for a 8 to 12-day circuit instead. Travelers wishing to explore ancient heritage, the deep South and the Dahar massifs will opt for an itinerary of 13 to 17 days, with two nights in bivouac and a complete north-south loop.
We design each program based on the season, your pace and actual distances, without overloading driving days.
Different types of circuits
Our itineraries vary according to your preferences. Cultural circuits emphasize Unesco medinas, Roman sites of Dougga and Sbeïtla, Andalusian art in Testour and ceramic workshops in Nabeul. Adventure circuits favor camel trekking across the Grand Erg, hikes in the Dahar and 4x4 trails between Chenini and Ksar Ghilane.
Family circuits combine swimming in Djerba or Hammamet, child-friendly visits (El Jem amphitheater, dromedary rides in Douz) and stays in welcoming guest houses.
What is the best season?
The ideal season runs from March to June and September to November, with temperatures of 22 to 28°C on the coast and perfect conditions for the desert. Winter (December-February) remains mild in the south and allows bivouacs without summer heat, but the north can be rainy. Summer suits beach stays but we advise against Saharan circuits beyond June.
